If you own a diesel vehicle then it's likely you have a diesel particulate filter. Designed to keep the engine free of harmful chemicals sometimes the filter can stop working.

If you're experiencing loss of power, poor fuel efficiency or the cooling fans are running more than normal it's likely the D.P.F needs a good clean.

A new D.P.F system can cost as much as £3,000, but in most cases a D.P.F clean can rectify the problem.
